Jammu and Kashmir Yateem foundation on Sunday organized an awareness program “Social Service with Truthfulness, Accountability & Transparency” in Town Hall Kupwara.
The speakers focused on creating a truthful, accountable and transparent structure for undertaking social service activities. They said the monetary and other resources needed to be utilized in a scrupulous and transparent manner for the welfare and rehabilitation of the poor orphans, widows and destitute.
They stressed the need to inculcate sense of self accountability, humility and self introspection amongst the management of various NGOs and voluntary organizations.
A notable social activist urged people to come forward to reach out to the vulnerable sections with timely adequate support system so that they could be protected from waywardness, delinquencies and various forms of crime.
The speakers urged NGOs & voluntary organizations to evolve meticulous, professional and transparent financial expenditure mechanism so that the substantial budgetary resources could be utilized for the real welfare and rehabilitation of the destitute.
