Spokesman of the Hurriyat Conference (G) Ayaz Akbar, who was arrested by police on February 9 from his residence, has been remanded to judicial custody till February 25.
According to family sources, Akbar who has been lodged at Central Jail Srinagar, the authorities have informed them that he has been remanded till February 25.
They said Akbar has been lodged at Central jail Srinagar along with Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah. Pertinently Shah had also been detained by police on February 9 to prevent his movement in the aftermath of hanging of Muhammad Afzal Guru at Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
