With crucial Rajya Sabha polls getting very risky for his political career, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad Tuesday met independent MLAs Hakim Mohammad Yasin and Engineer Rashid and sougt support assurance once again.

Local news gatherer KNS said the meetings were separate held. Rajya Sabha is going to polls for its four J&K seats on February 7.

Hakim and Rashid have confirmed to KNS that they met Azad. They, however, did not offer any details. “Azad sahib is my friend and friends don’t need an occasion to visit each other,” Hakim Yasin said. “I will take a call from my conscience and vote accordingly.”

Er Rashid while confirming his meeting with Azad said, “I won’t take any decision in haste.”
