Bollywood actor Junior Bachan or Abhishek Bachchan, who is in Kashmir for the shooting of director Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan, says he shares a special bond with Kashmir as he often accompanied father Amitabh Bachchan as a child during film shootings.
During an interview, Junior Bachan told reporters that it is nostalgic for him to be in Kashmir because he has visited Kashmir when his father Amitabh Bachan used to shoot his films in Kashmir. “It is truly a heaven on earth and I am very happy to be back. It is still as beautiful as it used to be,” the actor said.
From past many years, many directors from B town are frequenting to the valley to identify the shooting places. “I am very sure that they will start coming back. In the past couple of years, we have seen a fair amount of films coming from all over India to shoot in Kashmir and I think that trend will grow,” said Abhishek.
“I think the kind of production help you get over here, the facilities are fantastic. We have shot so many films; Indian film industry has shot so many films in Kashmir. I have done a fair bit of shooting up in Leh. This is the first time I have done a shooting around Srinagar and Sonamarg,” he added.
Abshekh’s co-star Tapsee Pannu got quite emotional after the last day shoot in Kashmir. Taking to social networking site Twitter, Taapsee Pannu wrote that director Anurag Kashyap exudes such energy that it makes the “best happen” on the set. Taapsee, who has finished shooting for the film, on Tuesday shared a photograph of herself along with Kashyap. “There are some directors who guide you through and some who exuberate such energy that you just cannot help but be your best, give your best and the best happens. You are the latter mister Anurag Kashyap, you are the wind beneath Rumi’s wings. Get well soon… because you have to fight with me more.”
While complementing the beauty of Kashmir, Pannu in another tweet wrote “Dear Kashmir, You truly proved to be “Paradise” for me. Lost and found wali feeling became beautiful courtesy you. Phir milenge…… agli baar jab mausam thoda behtar hoga!Love Rumi ❤#Manmarziyaan #Kashmir #FilmWrap.”
