SRINAGAR: A balloon bearing the inscription “PIA” was found lying in a field at Khara Madan in Samba district on Friday morning, police said.
According to officials, local residents noticed the balloon and informed Police Station Purmandal about the finding.
A police team was subsequently dispatched to the location to verify the report and establish the circumstances surrounding the recovery, they said.
Police said further action would be taken based on the outcome of the verification.
