According to Secretary Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly, M Ramzan, three candidates have been declared elected unopposed to the Legislative council seats.
M Ramzan, who is also retiring officer for Biennial election of the J&K legislative council by the members of the J&K legislative assembly, said these include Rani Gargi Baloria of Indian National Congress Party(INC), Devinder Singh Rana of National Conference (NC) and Yashpal Sharma of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Today was the last date for withdrawal of candidature for Biennial election of the J&K legislative council by the members of the J&K Legislative Assembly.
Naresh Kumar Gupta and Mohammad Iqbal are contesting for district Doda and Mohammad Muzaffar Parrey, Showkat Hussain Ganie, Abdul Majeed, Syed Naeem Akhtar Andrabi and Shuban Krishen Dudha for Kashmir Province.
