Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has assured Quarry holders that she will reconsider the government decision of banning the practice of extraction of stones from Athwajan and Panthachowk quarries.
A delegation from United Quarry Association and Himalayan Quarry Association met Chief Minister in Jammu and appealed her to revoke the ban on extraction of stones from quarries.
“The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and assured us that she will re-look into the matter and will take decision in the interest of quarry holders,” the delegation members said.
