SRINAGAR: One of the persons injured in the auto-rickshaw accident in the Nachlana area of Banihal has succumbed to his injuries, officials said on Tuesday.
An official said that Mohd Akram, son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Sila Gandote, Ramban, who had sustained severe injuries in the accident, passed away at GMC Anantnag.
He said two other persons injured in the mishap have been identified as Gh Hassan Sohil, son of Lassu Sohil, aged about 60 years, and Fata Begum, wife of Gh Hassan, aged about 57 years, both residents of Zanichous, Banihal.
The official said the injured were initially taken to SDH Banihal and later referred to GMC Anantnag for advanced medical treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (KNC)
