SRINAGAR: The District Administration Baramulla has issued a comprehensive Monsoon Emergency Contact Directory to ensure a swift response to emergencies amid the ongoing monsoon season and forecasts of heavy rainfall, floods and landslides.
According to the advisory, residents have been urged to keep emergency contact numbers readily available and immediately report any weather-related emergency to the designated authorities.
The administration said the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) can be contacted on 01952-234343 or 7006493646, while the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) is available by dialling 112.
The contact directory also includes the mobile numbers of the Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs), Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Tehsildars across the district to facilitate timely coordination and assistance during emergencies.
Among the key contacts are ADC Baramulla (7006240038), ADC Sopore (9596004411), ACR Baramulla (7006577533), SDM Uri (9570880103), SDM Pattan (9419052012) and SDM Gulmarg (7006076689).
Residents requiring assistance at the tehsil level have been advised to contact their respective Tehsildars, including those in Uri, Zaingeer, Pattan, Rohama, Dangerpora, Wagoora, Kunzer, Boniyar, Sopore, Karihama, Baramulla, Khoie, Kreeri, Tangmarg and Dangiwacha.
The District Administration appealed to people, particularly those living in flood-prone, landslide-prone and other vulnerable areas, to remain vigilant, follow official advisories and immediately report emergencies through the notified helpline numbers.
The advisory has been issued in the public interest as part of the district administration’s preparedness measures for the ongoing monsoon season.
