J&K Board of School Education has decided to go ahead with the examination of the girl candidate from Baramulla Public School later this week who had missed yesterday’s paper due to alleged “callousness” of school authorities.

The decision was taken on the directions the Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar on Saturday.

A 12th class girl student fainted and subsequently missed her examination after school authorities refused to issue an admit card for sitting in board examination due to non-payment of fee in Baramulla district.

According to the father of the girl, Abdul Majeed Ganai his daughter was supposed to appear in 12th class annual examination but authorities at Baramulla Public School refused to give roll number slip unless she cleared her outstanding school fee.
