Baramulla Town in North Kashmir has not shown any growth in its population since 2001.

This was revealed by government on Tuesday in response to a query from PDP’s Baramulla Lawmaker, Javaid Baig.

Quoting the census, of 1981, 2001 and 2011 of Baramulla Town, the government said that the population of the Baramulla Town has remained stagnant.

In the year 1981, the population of Baramulla Town was 33,945; in 2001 it was 71,896 and it remained same in 2011 as well, the government said.
