Heavy contingents of government forces have been deployed in Barzulla area of Srinagar city ahead of the possible handover of slain militant Mudasir Ahmed’s body to his family on Tuesday.
An official said that a mixed contingent of forces have been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident. Deployments have been put at sensitive points in the area.
The official added that authorities are likely to impose restrictions after 5 pm, as authorities are going to hand over the body of Mudasir to his family today.
According to the family, Mudasir militant was killed by government forces during an encounter in Kachahama area in the frontier district of Kupwara on June 29.
