JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik was shifted to district jail Islamabad on Monday, while vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat along with Mir Siraj ud din was shifted to Kupwara jail.

In a statement, a spokesman of the Front said JKLF general secretary engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidhi has been shifted to Baramullah jail. Quoting Malik’s message from jail, the spokesman while paying exemplary tributes to Imam I Hussain (RA) and Shuda I Karbala said that the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions at Karbala is a lesson for all generations.

“This is a path to be followed by every one for attaining truth, justice and success in life and hereafter. He said that Hussainiat always stands for justice and truth and anyone who declares himself a Hussaini will never side with tyrants and oppressors,” he said. ”Imam Hussain (RA) and the family of prophet (SAW) sacrificed their lives at Karbala for truth, justice and morality. They stood against the tyranny to uphold the flag of justice. That is why even after hundreds of years we all identify ourselves with Hussain(RA) not with the tyrants who fought against Hussain (RA) at karbala.”

Malik said that Hussainiat teaches unity and oneness. “It teaches us that at times when we are to choose between oppressed and oppressors, we should always choose oppressed and oppose oppressors at every cost. We all have one Kalima La illaha illalllah Mohammad ur Rasoolullah and this is the bond that unites us all. Our Allah is one, our prophet (SAW) is one, our ka’aba and Qibla is same, that is why we all should be one, united in our love, grief and joy,” he said. “We can have difference of sect or creed but we have no difference on the fundamentals, so we all shall follow the rule, don’t leave your sect but don’t ever tease the others sect.”

The JKLF chairman said that the struggle in Kashmir is also a Continuation of the Battle of Karbala. “Hussainiat asks and directs us to strengthen the hands of those who fight for the oppressed and remain on their side. Malik said that today tyrants and oppressors have arrests hundreds and thousands of those who are siding with the oppressed people. Tyrants and oppressors have unleashed this reign of terror for so called election and their main objective is to weaken and defeat a sacred movement that has been nourished by the sacred blood of our martyrs. In this situation what is the way to follow. I have belief that the followers of imam Hussain (RA) should tread upon the path shown by imam I Hussain (RA) and side with those oppressed. A Hussaini (RA) will always side with oppressed and boycott this farce election and ensure that he stands for the truth and justice,” Malik added.
