Two persons were critically injured on Monday after a wild bear attacked them in Dooru town of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.

The injured persons were identified as Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Dooru and Mohammad Younis Khan, 23, son of Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Gugarnard Zamalgam in Dooru Islamabad.

Reports said that the bear attacked Mohammad Younis when he was working in an orchard at Zamalgam and later attacked Rasool when he was busy harvesting walnuts at his orchard at the same area, resulting into the serious injuries to both.

Both the injured were soon rushed to a district hospital Islamabad where from Mohammad Younis was referred to Srinagar hospital for the specialised treatment.
