Bear Captured Alive In North Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Wildlife Department authorities Saturday afternoon caught a wild bear alive from Sirajpora locality in Handwara.

Quoting a Wildlife Department official news agency GNS reported that the animal had entered human habitation, following which a team was rushed to the area. After hours of hectic efforts, the team succeeded in tranquilising the animal and subsequently trapped it.

Meanwhile, the local inhabitants have appreciated the timely action of the department concerned in avoiding any untoward incident in the area.
