Army and police jointly shot dead a ferocious bear after he attacked an elderly person in North Kashmir’s Sopore town.
Eyewitnesses told CNS that Habibullah Malla son of Abdul Gafar resident of Haritara Sopore was on its way towards willow nursery when a ferocious bear attacked him and wounded him critically. The bear left him in a pool of blood mauling his face including eyes.
He was rushed to Sopore hospital where doctors referred him to SMHS Hospital Srinagar.
Immediately after the incident, police and Army cordoned off the Nursery loacated at Rathhaigam, and shot dead the bear.
