SRINAGAR: The Yenching Academy in China is extending an invitation to graduates from across the globe to pursue their master’s degree program through a fully-funded scholarship. The scholarship has a duration of 2 years.
Areas of study encompass Economics and Management, History and Archaeology, Philosophy and Religion, Politics and International Relations, Law and Society, and Literature and Culture.
Fellows will receive accommodation at the Yenching Academy, with full tuition fees covered. They will be provided a two-bed suite with a shared common bathroom for individuals of the same gender. Additionally, fellows will be provided with medical insurance and a monthly stipend. A round-trip travel allowance is also included.
Applicants must hold a minimum bachelor’s degree or be currently enrolled in a degree program. Furthermore, applicants should be between the ages of 23 to 28. Graduation must be completed by August 31, 2024, and applicants should possess an outstanding academic record. Proficiency in English is a requirement and should be certified. Candidates must be able to reside in Beijing during their master’s course.
Mainland Chinese students must commit to staying in Beijing for the entire two-year period. However, international students may return home and continue their studies with the permission of their advisors. Notably, TOEFL and IELTS results dated before September 1, 2020, will not be accepted.
Required documents include a Personal Statement, Research Proposal, Curriculum Vitae, Official Transcript, Diploma or Certificate of Enrollment, two Letters of Recommendation, and an English Proficiency Test Certificate.
