Police has slapped PSA on one of the accused involved in Police-Public School Bemina fidayeen attack.
Highly placed sources told CNS that Pradeep singh son of Bhupinder Singh resident of Kanispora Baramulla was booked under Public Safety Act.
Pradeep Singh according to police sources played a key role in helping militants to strike on CRPF personnel in the premises of Police Public School premises Bemina in which five CRPF personnel were killed.
Pradeep Singh according to police sources gave moral and logistic support to militants. Though police in its Challan has booked Pradeep Singh only under section 19 of unlawful activities but according to police sources he played a cardinal role in helping militants to make this operation successful.
District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmed Shah told CNS that PSA for such a person is mandatory. “You please contact Senior Superintendent of Police for further details. But I tell you that such persons are liable to be booked under PSA,” he said.
When contacted, Senior Superintendent Police, Srinagar, Ashiq Bukhari said that he does not know who this person is. “Let me check and see whether this person has been booked under PSA or not,” he said.
