Ben-with-HenOnce there was a hen
Instead of coop it lived in den
was found of beasts and afraid of men
That had followers number in ten

Among them all nice was Ben
Who wanted to catch it and keep it then
Rather than grains casted he gem
She could not swallow and traped by Ben

Everyone was ready behind to run
But she deceived world along with Sun
She looked wise but was a disguise
More she was eating and fatening in size

He more than himself liked hen
She liked dislike but hated Ben
She should found a cock as its mate
She did dig and found a pig in her fate

Now, so is common, a cat with rat
Meetings they arrange and often on date
Because of her size, usually she is late
Pig cursing himself and dying in wait

Instead of her intellect her weight was in rise
Stammering in truth and fluent in lies,
Along with her weight, heavy was her rate
Floating with waves, then she set her sail

(Poem has been written by Ben after he lost his love. Ben is pursuing his Honours in English at A S College, Srinagar).
