Describing better road communication vital for economic development, Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, G M Saroori Saturday laid stress on speedy completion of on-going multi-sector projects of infrastructure development including bridges, roads and buildings.

“The timely completion of works is imperative to ensure benefits to the people within the targeted period,” he added.

The MLA Inderwal was inaugurating 6km long Parna Bonda road constructed by PMGSY department, a statement issued this evening said.

Addressing a series of public meetings at Chatroo, Singpora, Baigpura, Chingam, Bonda, Vohal, Sigdi, Mulchitter, Bhata and other areas, MLA Inderwal said that the newly constructed road will provide reliable and all weather connectivity to a huge population living in various villages of sub-division Chatroo.

The Bonda road is a part of the on-going scheme for improvement and up-gradation of road, the statement said.

MLA Inderwal said he (Saroori) is committed to provide road connectivity to the people living in these remote areas as roads are the basic necessity for the effective development of people.

Appreciating the people of sub-division Chatroo, Saroori said, “people have maintained the feeling of brotherhood and harmony in the region and the government will leave no stone unturned to develop these areas.”

“All possible steps are being made to improve the living standard of the people of far flung areas Tehsil Mugalmaidan and Chatroo,” he said adding that he is “committed to decrease the people sufferings by extending every possible facility”.

During the tour, number of deputations met the MLA Inderwal and apprised him about the issues and problems confronting pertaining to their areas.

“The problems which were highlighted included improvement in power supply, MGNREGA payment, compensation of PMGSY roads, Opening of new Sheep Husbandry centres in the areas, scarcity of ration and other day to day problems, Saroori gave patient hearing to all the deputations and assured them that their genuine demands and issues will be resolved on priority besides MGNREGA liability will be cleared at an earliest as Rs 10 Crores have already been released for this purpose,” the statement said.

He also gave on spot directions to concerned authorities for early mitigation of certain issues.

Saroori also visited Government High School Sigdi to get first-hand appraisal of the working in the school in an endeavour to identify problems and setting up standards to improve the educational system in far flung areas of Inderwal constituency.

“Government HS Sigdi is already upgraded as Higher Secondary School Sigdi in the year 2014 but present dispensation has stopped the process of up gradation of schools,” he alleged assuring students that he “will leave no stone unturned” in getting the HS Sigdi upgraded as government HSS Sigdi.
