A day after CM’s political analyst, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para, had asked the administration of Baba Ghulam Shah Budshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri about the result of inquiry into scholarship scam, the university authorities have transferred the Registrar Saturday afternoon.
According to a varsity notification, Mohd Rashid Chowdhary, has been transferred from the “substantive post” of Registrar and transferred along with “substantive post” and posted in Vice Chancellor’s office as ‘Officer on Special Duty’ (OSD).
Pertinently, the BGSBU students were on an indefinite strike, which entered 14th day today, demanding action against tainted officials of the hilly located varsity. The students were alleging that the incumbent Registrar was involved in the scholarship scam money of which was meant for deserving students.
The notification further reads that In-charge Controller Examinations, BGSBU, has been assigned the additional charge of Registrarship till further orders.
Sources said that the classrooms work is expected to resume from Monday.
