Bhaderwah

Dheraja village in Bhaderwah area of Doda district is in complete darkness for last 10 days.

Locals told Kashmir Life that the electric transformer of the village developed a technical snag 10 days ago. They said that the concerned officials have turned a blind eye towards the issue.

“We are in complete darkness for last ten days and not even a single employee has bothered to visit the village which is just 1.5 km away from main town of Bhaderwah. We have made a number of complaints as well but in return we hear only excuses,” said one of the residents of Dheraja, Kamran Khan.

He added that the villagers have approached MLA and MLC as well but all in vain. “We tried our best but the matter is still hanging in air”, Kamran said.

Pertinently the concerned transformer provides electricity to over 500 households of the village.
