SRINAGAR: Actor Arjun Rampal has extended his support to singer Qazi Touqeer ahead of the Bigg Boss 20 finale, joining singer Arijit Singh in publicly cheering for the Kashmir-born contestant.
Rampal’s message was shared on social media by Qazi’s friend Abrar Zahoor, who posted a video of the actor wishing the singer success in the reality show’s final stage.
“Hey Qazi, how you doing? You’ve got great friends here. All the very best for the finale of Bigg Boss. Rock it, my friend,” Rampal said in the video.
Zahoor described the gesture as a message from one rockstar to another and praised Qazi for maintaining “grace and dignity” during his stint on the show. His post referred to the contestant as the “OG Rockstar” and concluded with the words, “Keep shining and more power to you!”
Qazi’s official fan account also acknowledged Rampal’s message, replying, “Thank you so much bhai”, accompanied by a heart emoji.
Earlier, singer Arijit Singh had expressed his support for Qazi, recalling their association on the singing reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005. Qazi won the competition alongside Ruprekha Banerjee, while Singh finished sixth.
In September, Singh wrote on X, “I will have to watch Bigg Boss for the first time because apna rockstar Qazi hai udhar.” The post attracted attention from fans, who welcomed his public support for his former co-contestant.
Qazi’s journey on Bigg Boss 20 has also generated considerable discussion on social media. Online campaigns using slogans such as “QAZI THE LONE WARRIOR” and “ONE MAN ARMY QAZI” gained traction on X in India, according to the information shared about the contestant’s online following.
The singer has been involved in several heated exchanges inside the house, including a confrontation with Yung DSA during a captaincy task and a diss battle with Rhiti Tiwari. Earlier in October, concerns about his health following reports of a severe fever fuelled speculation about a possible exit, but his team said he remained in the house after a medical examination.
Qazi has also spoken about his ambition to win the trophy and take it to Srinagar. Referring to previous Kashmiri contestants, including Asim Riaz, he has expressed his determination to become the season’s winner.
Meanwhile, television actor Aman Gandhi was evicted from Bigg Boss 20 in the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode after failing to secure enough audience votes.
