Militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Thursday claimed responsibility of Bijbehara attack on police party in which a senior police officer and his security guard sustained serious injuries.

Operational Spokesperson Hizb, Burhan-u-Din told Srinagar based news agency CNS that the attack on police party was “carried out by its special squad who successfully managed to escape from the scene after the assault”.

“Both the policemen including the officer got seriously wounded in the attack. We warn all those policemen who aid and assist Indian forces against militants to suppress the legitimate Freedom Movement in Kashmir to mend their ways, otherwise they will face such attacks in future,” Hizb spokesperson warned.

He said that Hizb Operational Field Commander has directed all the outfit militants to intensify attacks on Indian security establishments.

Pertinently, militants attacked a police party in South Kashmir’s Goriwan area of Bijbehara town in South Kashmir’s Islamabad town injuring two cops including Sub-Divisional Police Officer Irshad Hussain Rather.
