National Conference Wednesday said that the tactical partnership between BJP and PDP is a dangerous development that doesn’t auger well for the prospects of the State’s communal harmony and prosperity.

While addressing Workers’ Conventions in Khan Sahib, Beerwah, Batamaloo and Amira Kadal constituencies Wednesday, NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar and Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said that National Conference was well capable of stalling the divisive conspiracies of BJP and PDP.

Sagar reminded the workers that NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah had repeatedly expressed his alarm over PDP’s tacit support to BJP in J&K in the run up to the Parliament Elections. “Perhaps at that time the very possibility of such an evil partnership was incomprehensible to the people of this State. However today all doubts have been put to rest and it has become evident that Mufti Sayeed has agreed to do BJP’s work in Kashmir Valley and has left no stone unturned to facilitating its candidates in Jammu region. Dr. Sahib’s prediction has come true. Today PDP and BJP are being run from the same control room in Delhi and their efforts to spread venom throughout the State are well coordinated,” Sagar said.

Addressing Workers’ Conventions in Batamaloo and Amira Kadal, Nasir Aslam Wani said that National Conference under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had ushered Srinagar into an era of unparalleled infrastructural growth and development. “Be it roads and bridges, power transmission network, sewerage and drainage, sports facilities, community halls, hospitals and health centers – National Conference has added more to Srinagar’s public infrastructure than has been done by any government in the history of the State. When NC came to power Srinagar had two Tehsils. Today National Conference has made it possible for Srinagar to have five tehsils and this is a concrete step that has been taken for the convenience of the people of Srinagar”, Nasir said.
