Sources said that the BJP chief will spend two days in the Jammu region and one day in the Kashmir Valley. Several senior party leaders from Delhi, including central office bearers and those in charge of J&K affairs, are expected to accompany him.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh, party MPs, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, and JK BJP president Sat Sharma are also likely to join the visit.

During the tour, Nitin Nabin is expected to review the party’s organizational structure, assess its role as the principal opposition in JK, and chalk out strategies to strengthen its base ahead of future elections.

Meanwhile, the BJP is also planning a major public outreach programme in Srinagar later this summer. Though the dates are yet to be finalized, the proposed event is expected to witness participation from the party’s top leadership and is aimed at sending a message of outreach and engagement in the Valley.

Party insiders said the visit is likely after the completion of the ongoing election campaign in West Bengal, where the BJP is actively involved.

The visit is also expected to include interactions with grassroots workers and leaders beyond the capital cities, as part of efforts to expand the party’s footprint across the Union Territory.  (KNC)
