Early trends suggest that the BJP is leading or has actually won 247 berths in UP’s 403-seat Assembly. Any party that wins 202 seats forms the government. Samajwadi Party led by Akhlesh Yadav is leading at 123 seats. Congress is leading on one seat. The numbers are changing as the counting is in progress.

In the 40-seat Goa assembly, BJP is leading on 19 seats and Congress at 11. Any party having 21 votes will form the government.

In Manipur, BJP is on top of the chart as it is leading on 20 of the 41 seats where trends are available. The assembly has 60 seats and anybody having 31 will form the government. Congress is hugely behind the local parties and it is NPF which is expected to emerge as the runner up.

In the 70-seat Uttarakhand House, BJP is comfortably leading in 46 constituencies with Congress emerging as major opposition with 20 seats. Any party winning 36 seats will form the government.

Punjab is witnessing a shift. It is AAP replacing the Congress that has been ruling the state for a long time. AAP is leading in 86 seats in the 11-seat House where 59 votes make the ruling government. Congress is leading at 18 berths, BJP at 2 and SAD at three.
