SRINAGAR: The Jammu city, which is the powerhouse of the BJP, in Jammu and Kashmir has emerged the dirtiest city in a recent survey; Chandigarh based newspaper The Tribune reported. The survey under Swachh Survekshan-2020 was released by the Urban Development Ministry recently

The survey carried out across 382 cities across India shows Jammu scoring rank 224

Jammu Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta told The Tribune: “Last year, we were ranked 318. From there, we have jumped to 224. Hopefully, things will improve in the coming years.” Interestingly it is BJP that runs the shows in Jammu Municipal Corporation.

On the other hand, Srinagar ranks 36th in the chain of cities with a population of one million.
