SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Devyani Rana secures decisive victory in Nagrota Assembly seat, official Election Commission results confirm.
Rana secured 42,183 votes, defeating her contender, Harsh Dev Singh of the Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party, who garnered 17,661 votes.
Shamim Begum of the Jammu Kashmir National Conference trailed with 10,834 votes, while independent candidate Anil Sharma received 837 votes.
The victory marks a resounding triumph for the BJP in Nagrota, with Rana securing a commanding lead of 24,522 votes over Singh.
The Election Commission confirmed the result after all 11 rounds of counting concluded.
