The bodies of two missing army men were recovered by the search and rescue teams in Gurez sector in Bandipora district on Tuesday, raising the number of bodies recovered so far to three, defence sources said.
They said the search for remaining two missing army men is in progress
Following the heavy fall in last week five army men went missing – three in Gurez and two in Nowgam sector of Kupwara – along with the line of control on December 12.
The officials said that three army men went missing from a forward post in Kanzalwan sub-sector of Gurez in Bandipora district while Two soldiers had slipped down a slope in Nowgam sector of Kupwara district after heavy snowfall on December 12.
The search for the two missing soldiers–one each in the Gurez and Naugam sectors–is still going on.(Kashmir Wire)
