SRINAGAR: The body of a 12-year-old boy who drowned in Nallah Sindh in the Fatehpora area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was recovered on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Mohsin Mukhtar, 12, son of Mukhtar Ahmad Lone, a resident of Bamloora, Ganderbal.
An official said the body was retrieved during a search operation launched after the boy drowned in the waterbody on Sunday.
Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident, while the body will be handed over to the family after completion of the necessary formalities, the official said.
