SRINAGAR: Officials confirmed that the body of a 40-year-old man was recovered from a river in the Mandi area of Poonch on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Mohammad Sadiq (40), son of Alaf Din from Nabana, Surankote in Poonch district, was found in the Seri Chowna, Madana river.
Upon receiving the report, a police team arrived at the scene and transferred the body to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
Mandi’s Station House Officer, Mukhtar Ali, confirmed the body’s recovery and stated that the police have initiated an investigation. (GNS)
