The body of a missing person was fished out from river Jehlum in Sumbal area of Bandipora District, police said on Monday.

The body of 65 years old Tuka Ram Gaikward son of Arjun Gaikward resident of Maharashtra was fished out from river Jhelum near Wasikhan Rakhi Asham, in Sumbal. The deceased was reported to be missing since March 24, 2014 from Shivpora Srinagar. In this regard, a missing report was registered in police station Ram Munshi Bagh, Srinagar.

 The body was shifted to Health Centre Sumbal for post mortem.

Meanwhile, a domestic help slipped into a Nallah in Shangus Islamabad and was drowned. Efforts are on to retrieve the body from the Nallah.

A domestic help identified as Mohammad Ismail Khan son of Mohammad Abdullah Khan resident of Lar, Ganderbal slipped into the Nallah Aripati at Charpora, Shangus and was drowned. The deceased was working as a domestic help for a family in the area.
