SRINAGAR: The body of a man who had gone missing near the Aharbal waterfall in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district was recovered on Monday morning, officials said.
An official said the man went missing near the Aharbal fall during an outing on Sunday.
He said the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was pressed into service following the incident.
“After an intense search operation, the SDRF recovered the body this morning and handed it over to the police for medico-legal formalities,” the official said.
The deceased has been identified as Wasim Ahmad Malik (33), son of Mohammad Yaseen Malik, a resident of New Colony Alayipora, Shopian. (KNO)
