The body of a person who was missing since 01-04-2014 was retrieved from a river in Kokernag area of Islamabad District last evening, a police statement said.
“Police retrieved a body from river Bringi near Goihard, Islamabad. He was later identified as 42 year old Jumma Bimla son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Paru-Adigam, Islamabad,” the statement said.
Pertinently the deceased was missing since 01-04-2014 after he had gone to fetch grass from a nearby forest and did not come back. The Police registered case FIR number 21/2014 under section 365, 302 RPC and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the cause of death.
After conducting all legal formalities, the body of deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
