Describing the ‘bogus voting’ allegations baseless, National Conference senior leader and MLA elect from Khanyar Assembly constituency, Ali Muhammad Sagar Monday said that there is not an iota of doubt in this fact that his adversary and PDP leader Muhammad Khurshid Alam has been suffering from frustration after his debacle in the recently held Assembly elections.
“Before raising fingers at me, Alam should peep into his past and answer before the people how he amassed wealth through illegal means. No bogus voters were present in the Khanyar Assembly segment and people voted for me to oust a ‘corrupt’ politician like him,” Sagar told CNS adding that he will himself inform the court about the reality and will initiate action against the petitioner who has been trying to malign his image as well as the image of government officials.
Pertinently, Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar Virder Bohu after acting on a complaint filed by People’s Democratic Party losing candidate Muhammad Khurshid Alam, has already directed Station House Officer Khanyar Nisar Ahmed to investigate into alleged bogus voting in Khanyar constituency during the recently held assembly elections and submit a detailed report while the police has made it clear that if the allegations are proven, they will registered an FIR in this regard.
