Sharmila Tagore, the renowned actor, who is visiting Kashmir on a holiday, met Governor and First Lady at the Raj Bhavan.
“Tagore shared with Governor and First Lady, her reminisces of the 1960s and 70s when she had visited the Valley on many occasions when it was among the most preferred locations for film shooting. She also spoke about experiences during her current visit,” said a Raj Bhavan spokesperson.
Governor and First Lady wished Tagore good health and happiness and requested her to visit Kashmir every year.
Governor’s invitation to Sharmila Tagore to visit Kashmir every year is very wise division. What I feel that Madam Sharmila Tagore be given independent responsibility to resolve Kashmir crisis which I feel she will be able to just as Rajkapoor’s old film songs only can solve many crisis, if arises between Russia & India.
