Srinagar:
Protests erupted in Bomai village of Sopore town in northern part of Kashmir on Friday as dozens of students of Government Higher Secondary School staged a protest against a police crackdown on a college in Pulwama on April 15 and arrests of students during the subsequent protests.

Reports said that the students shouting pro-freedom slogans marched towards Police post in Bomai and staged massive protests.
Police used tear gas shells to disperse the students who pelted stones triggering massive clashes in the area.
