Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 63 bottles of illicit liquor from a shop in this south Kashmir district, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
He said on a tip-off, a police team, headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Tauseef Ahmad, raided a barber shop of one Abdul Hamid Bhat at Mattan.
During the search of the shop, police recovered 63 bottles of whiskey and arrested a bootlegger.
He said in this regard, a case under Section 48 of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation is going on.
