Srinagar

As the armies of India and Pakistan continue to trade fire and shelling along international border in Jammu and Kashmir, two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and three civilians have suffered injuries in the fresh skirmishes.

“The two troopers and three civilians were injured in the overnight Pakistan ceasefire violation in R.S. Pura and Ramgarh sectors,” army reports said.

“The Pakistan Rangers used mortars, automatics and small arms to target over half a dozen BSF posts and civilian areas in the firing that started at 10 pm. Our troops effectively retaliated,” the police said.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports said that people from the border area affected due to the shelling have started moving to safer locations.
