A 16 year old mentally ‘unsound’ boy committed suicide at his home in Bemina, police said on Thursday.
Mohammad Altaf Sheikh, 16, son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Firdous Colony Bemina, committed suicide by hanging himself at his home.
In a statement police informed that the deceased was mentally unsound. The dead body was handed over to his NOK’s for last rites.
However Srinagar police has initiated proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
