On the eve of Friday following Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), traffic police Srinagar have announced the route plan for the traffic as per the communiqu? of the Traffic authorities.
For the devotees coming from Lal Chowk to Hazratbal, all types of vehicles including passenger vehicles shall adopt following routes from Lal chowk Srinagar to Holy shrine at Hazratbal.
Lal Chowk – SRTC Bridge – Ikhwan crossing – Police station Khanyar – Bohri Kadal – Rajouri Kadal – Gojwar chowk – Hawal- Sheri Bhat – Bagi Ali Mardan – Lal Bazaar – Dargah Hazratbal.
For devotees coming from Baramulla-Kupwara- (North Kashmir) towards Hazratbal, vehicles carrying will adopt Byepass Tangpora, Bemina byepass – Qamarwari – Cement bridge –Noorbagh- Iddgah crossing-Alamgari Bazaar-Bagi Ali Mardan – Lal Bazaar -Dargah Hazratbal.
Vehicles carrying devotees from South Kashmir ie District Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama shall adopt following route, Panthchowk-Sonwar,-Gupkar-Foreshore-Nishat-Dargah Hazratbal.
For devotees coming from Bandipore, Kangan and Ganderbal areas shall adopt the following route, Pandach- Zakoora route and Vehicles carrying Zayreen’s from Harwan and its adjacent areas shall adopt Foreshore route and shall adopt the same route.
Return routes for the devotees have been earmarked in which, vehicles for Lal Chowk and Budgam- Baramulla-Kupwara shall follow Regional Engineering College – Aishahibgh Crossing – Rainawari-Khalifapora – Nowpora Bridge – Khayyam Chowk (Right) – Ikhwan Crossing – SRTC Crossing.
However the vehicles bound for North Kashmir i.e Budgam-Baramulla-Kupwara will be diverted at Khalifapora towards Peer Dastigeer Sahib Khanyar-Sumkachbal-Police Station Khanyar-Nalamar Road-Qamarwari for their respective destinations, while as for vehicles for Anantnag-Pulwama-Awantipora-Shopian will return adopting, Foreshore-Nishat-Gupkar-Sonwar Bazar and Panthchowk Route.
Traffic authorities have requested all devotees to follow the route plan as no vehicle shall be allowed to ply against the route.
