SRINAGAR: A 10-year-old boy was wounded after an ‘abandoned grenade’ he was playing with went off in Parraypora Kalaroos area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday afternoon, official sources said.

They said that the boy, namely Zubair Ahmad son of Ghulam Mohammed Khan was fiddling with the abandoned grenade he had found somewhere close to his residence. The device exploded, resulting in injuries to the boy who was immediately removed to a local health facility.
