Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Sunday while paying tributes to July 13 Martyrs stressed to boycott the Israeli goods against the atrocities being committed on Palestinians at Gaza.
Mirwaiz appealed the traders’ community to boycott the import of Israeli goods including dates and other items to protest the Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians, an amalgam statement said.
The spokesperson further maintained that in a bid to sabotage the planned programmes by the Hurriyat, the authorities once again put APHC (M) Chairman under house arrest thereby restricting his participation in programmes connected with the remembrance of July 13 martyrs.
While condemning the arrest and house arrest of Hurriyat leaders, imposition of curfew in the holy month of Ramazan, stopping people from offering prayers at Jamia Masjid and other religious places, APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq stated that the Kashmiri people were always ready to sacrifice their lives and property for the cause for which the July 13 martyrs laid their lives.
Mirwaiz stated that those parties and individuals have no right to lay flower wreaths on the graves of July 13 martyrs who used their sacrifices to build edifices of power and deserted their cause. He stated that July 13 martyrs offered sacrifices for the sublime cause of freedom, against the despotic rule, against the interminable suppression which Kashmiris were subjected to by the then cruel rulers, adding, the pro-Indian political parties were still main cause of those sufferings and cruelty.
