Accusing National Conference(NC), Congress and People Democratic Party(PDP) for their detrimental role in Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference (G) has made an appeal to all Panchs and Sarpanchs to boycott upcoming polls.
“Don’t be misled, you are the part of our nation, and disassociate your affiliation from ruling as well and opposition parties”, the statement quoted the Hurriyat spokesman.”

“Nation has laid sacrifices for a just cause and it is our duty to take care of this. Anybody who has no regard for these sacrifices has no value for his faith, nor he understands that he is doing harm not only to himself but also does harm to the next generation,” spokesman said.

Emphasizing Panchs and Sarpanchs to dissociate them from the process, the spokesman urged them to listen to their inner voices.

“Noble souls always do have regard for their conscience, have value for moral character and will never justify his misconduct, lest he may be treated as traitor. Administration may provide the security but the stigma due to their anti-movement activities, they may attract, will haunt them and will remain there,” he said

Castigating the coalition Party’s Congress and NC, Hurriyat claimed that PDP was sponsored by the agencies and said that all these parties are ideologically the same and have no difference, “they are power thirsty and this is the main issue and concern for their existence”, the amalgam said in the statement issued on Sunday.

Commenting on Omar Abdullah’s assertion of hand and plough as election symbol a trouble for opposition, spokesman added that the combination of “plough and hand” has already proved a malignant headache for state and is main cause of political instability in Jammu and Kashmir.

Hurriyat alleged that the custodians of Plough have handed over the state to the congress only for power and together the two parties have suppressed the aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Strongly taking note of PDP leadership, spokesman said that PDp is serving their masters in different capacities.
“For last fifty years, they (PDP) served their masters in Delhi and now agencies and policy makers have assigned them new role, though they work in disguise,”

Meanwhile Hurriyat conference has strongly criticized the administration for imposing the restrictions on Muharam procession.

“We out rightly reject this; it is the sheer interference in our religious matters. Indian democracy is mere mockery as it has one thing common and lays restrictions when it is the case of Muslim festivals. They have no job other than to impose unjustified restrictions on processions, Eid celebrations and prevent us from offering our religious duties and prayers”, the statement quoted Hurriyat spokesman.

Hurriyat has made sincere appeal to all people to be aware, “as some miscreants try to fuel the situation and create confusion and disharmony. They are bent upon to create misconceptions among the different sections of Muslim community; let us show that we are united and exhibit our steadfastness that we won’t allow them to sow seeds of differences,” the statement added.
