In another incident of braid chopping, a women’s braid was cut off by some unidentified person at around 10 am Sunday morning.
Reports reaching Kashmir Life reveal that the incident happened in Botshah Mohalla Lal Bazar. The locals said police has reached on the spot.
Besides braid cut, the family alleges that the gold was also stolen.
In similar type of incident, a braid of an elderly women was cut of in Hazratbal Saturday evening.
From past few days, the Lal Bazar, Umar Colony, Habak, Zakura, Elahi Bagh, Buchpora belt has become susceptible to these incidents, locals said. They further said that the residents spend sleepless nights.
Reports from Ganderbal said a fresh braid chopping incident has sparked protest in Wanipora, Saloora area on Sunday. Sources unknow persons chopped off the braid of a 7th class girl (name with held)in Wanipora area.
“The girl was studying in her room when the incident took place,” they said.
Soon after the incident, the locals protested by blocking the Duderhama-Srinagar road near Qamaria Park. Protests were going on in the area when this report was filed
