A mentally challenged person was on Friday thrashed severely by a mob after mistaking him as a braid chopper in Sopore town of northern Kashmir’s Baramullah district.
Reports said that an abnormal person identified as Waseem Ahmed of Nowpora was attacked by a mob at Sopore’s Fruit Mandi, resulting in grevious injuries to him.
Waseem was rescued by the local police and was shifted to a local hospital for treatment.
