Suspected braid choppers on Thursday morning attacked a 22-year-old girl at her home in Beerwah Tehsil of Budgam district.
Reports said that the braid of the girl was found cut mysteriously at Beerwah Tehsil of Budgam district. This a second attack on the said girl.
She was rushed to Sub District Hospital Beerwah where from she was referred to a hospital in Srinagar.
In the similar incident at Gopalpora Alamdar Colony in Chadoora sub-division of the district, an aged woman was attacked at her home and her braid was chopped off.
Sources said that today early morning some unknown persons attacked her in her house and chopped her braid. The “victim” has recently performed Hajj, they added.
Meanwhile, people took to streets to protest against mysterious braid chopping incidents in Wathoora. They blocked Chadoora-Srinagar road, hampering the vehicular movement.
