SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested a Tehsildar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
“ACB team caught Ghulam Rasool Bhat, Tehsildar Kralgund in Handwara sub-district, red-handed while accepting the bribe at his private residence in Mangwalpora, Handwara,” officials said.
They said the accused had demanded the amount from an individual for granting permission to cut walnut trees. (JKNS)
