SRINAGAR: Border Security Force (BSF) constable has been detained by Pakistan Rangers after inadvertently crossing the international border in Punjab.
As per media reports, Constable PK Singh of the 182nd Battalion was reportedly apprehended on Wednesday across the Ferozepur sector. He was in uniform and carrying his service rifle at the time. The reports state that the jawan had accompanied farmers and moved ahead to rest under shade when he crossed the border and was taken into custody.
A flag meeting is currently underway between BSF and Pakistan Rangers to facilitate his release, the reports said.
